Troy Edgar

Troy Edgar is the Host of the Ameritocracy podcast, entrepreneur, philanthropist, U.S. Navy Veteran, and Fortune 500 executive in the consulting industry-leading a Finance and Supply Chain Transformation practice in Washington, D.C.  He has more than 30 years of consulting, corporate, and public sector experience as a senior executive delivering consulting services to over 40 Fortune 500 companies across many industries including automotive, aerospace and defense, logistics, entertainment, and technology.

In 2019, Troy served in the last Administration and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate in a vote of 62-31 to become the 6th Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).  He oversaw the Department’s financial policy, systems modernization, fiscal operations and was responsible for their $90 billion budget.   

He started his consulting career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) after nearly a decade with Boeing as the CFO for the company's $3 billion military aircraft logistics and C17 USAF/Boeing Globemaster III Sustainment Partnership (GSP) business. He later founded Global Conductor, a $130 million boutique consulting firm specializing in Fortune 500 business transformation, corporate consolidations, restructuring, acquisition integration, shared services, and systems integration. Global Conductor was named one of Consulting Magazine’s Fastest Growing Firms in 2016 and 2017.

Edgar holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
